David Guetta, The Avener, Offenbach at “NRJ DJ Awards” 2019 in Monaco

The ceremony rewarding the best DJs of the moment returns to the Principality this Wednesday evening. For this eighth edition, French DJ No. 1 David Guetta will be behind the decks.

This will be the eighth edition on Wednesday evening for the opening of the show. Created on the fringes of the MICS in 2012, the NRJ DJ Awards ceremony is the Monegasque cousin of the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes.

Every year, it brings together in its list of awards everything that electronic music has to offer and this year it will have the honour of welcoming a legend in the field: the French David Guetta.

The electro star, who has sold more than 15 million albums, will participate in this ceremony for the very first time. And he is nominated in three categories: French-speaking DJ of the year, Tomorrowland live performance of the year and single dance/electro of the year for his featuring with Bebe Rexha and J Balvin, Say my name.

Let’s bet he shouldn’t leave empty-handed!

SEVEN CATEGORIES

To award these prizes, NRJ radio listeners vote to elect their favourites in seven categories: French-speaking DJ of the year, international DJ of the year, group or the duo of the year, the revelation of the year, live performance of the year, single of the year and club hit of the year.

In addition to David Guetta, Wednesday at the Grimaldi Forum for the awards ceremony, are announced on stage: The Avener, Offenbach or Armin van Buuren in particular.
