David Guetta wins 3 trophies for his first participation in the NRJ DJ Awards

The French musician won three trophies this Wednesday evening in Monaco, including an Honorary Award, for his first appearance at the ceremony held in the MICS lounge, dedicated to the world of nightlife.

For the first time, it’s a triplet! In eight editions, David Guetta has never participated in the NRJ DJ Awards, which reward sound makers from all over the world.

However, the French DJ is one of the most internationally known in his discipline, with 81 million singles sold.

On Wednesday evening, on the stage of the ceremony organised at the Grimaldi Forum in the heart of the MICS, he made up for his delay by stepping on the podium three times to win three trophies: Live Performance of the Year, Single of the Year and Honorary Award.

With a smile, he thanked NRJ’s “fantastic” initiative to dedicate an awards ceremony to DJs. He promised to meet the audience for his French tour, about which he promised: “to have prepared well this summer in Ibiza by working on new songs”.
