From 16 to 24 November, Monaco is joining forces with many other countries in the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), which will place “education and communication for waste reduction” at the heart of the theme.
This event, which aims to promote, during the same week, awareness actions on sustainable resource management to move towards zero waste, was presented to the press today.
Many public and private sector actors are involved in this great waste reduction movement and will testify that “the best waste is the one that is not produced”.
As Valérie Davenet, Director of the Environment, pointed out, “the Government of Monaco has set itself the objective of a policy of zero single-use plastic waste by 2030. We are all actors of this change and can all find meaning in it for a better life, respectful of our planet.”
Conferences, films, workshops, exhibitions, waste collection, concerts, stands, games, fashion and art creations related to this eco-responsible theme will be offered during this week by the Principality’s various committed actors. To date, 48 actions have been certified within the official framework of the EWWR, bringing together 60 participants and 20 people from the Stars’n’ Bars Green Team.
On the way for this week around the 3Rs “reduce, reuse, recycle”, organised in Monaco at the initiative of the Stars’ n’ Bars and implemented with the support of the Environment Department!
