In an exceptional site on the heights of the Principality, the Princess Grace Hospital Centre (CHPG) is the only public hospital in the Principality. It has 845 beds. The Centre’s professionals are well-qualified and ensure patient confidence and safety through the high-quality treatments provided. This is why the establishment is part of a process of care, innovation, therapeutic and diagnostic research.

In 2020, during the Monégasque National Day celebrations, Prince Albert II and his wife Princess Charlène went to the Princess Grace Hospital to present badges to the healthcare staff working during the coronavirus pandemic. In addition, the establishment was awarded the Knight of the Order of Grimaldi. A medal that was created by Prince Rainier III on 18 November 1954. Its purpose? Reward services to the Prince or his family, as well as actions that have contributed to the prestige of the Principality.

In the Cour d’Honneur of the Princely Palace, the Sovereign – who was himself affected by Covid-19 – thanked the medical staff for its professionalism and dedication: “It seemed to me a natural and logical decision to show the community’s gratitude to those who helped all of us in a time of great need. »
