Many major partners are joining us and now we have the involvement of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-les-bateaux-lectriques-l-avenir-de-la-principaut\">Electric boats: the way forward for the Principality? <\/h2>\n\n<p>Although the races, scheduled for 2023, are the first of their kind, Monaco has already expressed its intention to transition to electric boats. <\/p>\n\n<p>Prince Albert II was present, for example, at the launch of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2020\/10\/laneva-boats-the-monaco-start-up-building-the-100-electric-sustainable-boat-of-your-dreams\/\">Monegasque start-up Lan\u00e9va Boats<\/a>, which inaugurated its first \u201csmart boat\u201d at the Yacht Club de Monaco in 2019. It is an electric, silent boat, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2020\/08\/monacos-leading-e-boat-brand-awarded-solar-impulse-sustainability-label\/\">received with the \u201cSolar Impulse\u201d label the following year.<\/a>&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2021\/04\/teams-from-twelve-countries-will-compete-in-monaco-energy-boat-challenge-2021\/\">The Monaco Energy Boat Challenge<\/a>, organised each year by the Yacht Club de Monaco and the Prince Albert II Foundation, also bears witness to the Prince&#8217;s Government&#8217;s desire to showcase the engineers and scientists who have been involved in the project.
