After the success of the first Cuncertu per i picin\u00ecn in 2018 that allowed young children of the crib “The Island of Toddlers”<\/em> to discover songs and instruments through concerts given by students of the Rainier Academy III, the 2019 edition has proposed a variant with the Baby Tour.<\/h6>\n

On 2nd April, under the leadership of Councilors Chloe Boscagli-Leclercq, Delegate for Early Childhood, and Karyn Ardisson-Salopek, Delegate at the Rainier III Academy, the event was deployed on four creches – the nursery of Monaco-Ville, The Island of the Toddlers, the nursery of La Roseraie and the Garden of Awakening.<\/p>\n

Around 1pm, about 40 students and 8 teachers embarked aboard a bus graciously made available by the company RTS to the various institutions. First stop: Place de la Visitation where the Mayor and elected officials welcomed them.<\/p>\n

The Baby Tour started at the nursery of Monaco-Ville with a quartet of harp, clarinet, accordion and double bass. Then it was the turn of the children of “L’Ile aux Bambins” to appreciate the songs proposed by the children of the classes of CP, as well as a duet of violin and piano.<\/p>\n

The “grands” and “moyen” of the nursery of La Roseraie hosted a quintet of mandolins and percussion. And finally, it was at the Jardin d’Eveil du Larvotto that the Baby Tour finished with a quartet of recorders and violas da gamba and a trio of trombones.<\/p>\n

The toddlers were very receptive during these four concerts: not only listening to the different instruments but also touching them – the young student musicians and the teachers willingly putting them at their disposal so that they can “play” themselves. This sparked a lot of interest and curiosity. These moments also allowed very rich exchanges between the young musicians and the nursery kids.<\/p>\n

On the strength of this success, this beautiful experience should be renewed again next year and eventually extended to other cr\u00e8ches so that a maximum of young children can benefit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
