Recently renovated, the CHPG Blood Transfusion Center hosted, this week, AS Monaco Football Club coach Leonardo Jardim for a blood donation.<\/h6>\n

The aim of this action, which was also part of the Convention signed between the Government and the Principality’s professional football club, is to raise the awareness of ASM FC supporters to this important health issue.<\/p>\n

“It is an immense honour to receive Leonardo Jardim today. It is very important for us to associate the gift of blood with sports.”<\/em> Dr. Anne Gouverner-Valla, Head of the CHPG Blood Transfusion Center, said, “I hope this will help us mobilise as many donors as possible. I hope that many people will come to support AS Monaco on Saturday and give their blood before the match,” <\/em>she said.<\/p>\n

Indeed, on April 13th, a collection will be organised in front of the Louis II Stadium before AS Monaco’s match against Stade de Reims at 8 pm, as part of the 32nd Ligue 1 day.<\/p>\n

Thus, from 4pm until kick-off, the volunteer donors will be able to go to the mobile collection unit located on the forecourt (just next to the AS Monaco Shop Truck) to donate their blood.<\/p>\n

Every year 5,000 donations of blood are needed for the 800 patients transfused in the Principality.<\/p>\n

To give blood is an act of simple, generous and responsible solidarity, irreplaceable in the current state of science.<\/p>\n
