Now 87, the artist lives and works a good part of the year in the Principality. The exhibition is a regrouping of thirty of his finest works. An auction will be held on July 21st for the Prince Albert II Foundation. Art admirers and collectors are on standby&#8230;<\/h3>\n<p>Born in Medellin in 1932, Fernando Botero is probably one of the most sought-after artists for art lovers. Beginning with his <em>Still Life with Mandolin<\/em>, one of his first great success, the painter-sculptor has refined his style, which is continuously inspired by pre-Columbian and popular art.<\/p>\n<h2>A visual delight<\/h2>\n<p>This exhibition at the Bartoux gallery is a great opportunity to be able to admire the painter&#8217;s masterful approach for free until July 31. About thirty of the artist&#8217;s exceptional works are on display until the auction. A fitting site for the artist who loves Monaco so much that he has his own atelier on the quai Antoine Ier. All periods of the artist&#8217;s \u0153uvre are being represented, including his work around the circus in the early 2000s. In each work, we find the burlesque characters who built his reputation.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;In the history of twentieth-century art, there are only a dozen artists have managed to create a universal work,&#8221;<\/em> proclaimed Robert Bartoux to our colleagues in Nice-Matin. For the most affluent visitors, an auction will be held on July 21st.
