Whether you are a tourist, employee or resident, we can tell you where to find a spot, and at what price<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

For aesthetic reasons in particular, there is little on-street parking in Monaco. In fact, there are only 1000 spaces available. Apart from free parking for electric cars and for all motorists on Sundays (on-street only), the usual rate is \u20ac2.40 per hour, payable directly at the parking metres or via the PayByPhone and Monapass applications. You should also be aware that the maximum parking time is two hours in most neighbourhoods. Fee-paying car parks are therefore the best option.<\/p>\n\n

Where to park in Monaco?<\/h2>\n\n

The Annonciade, the Grimaldi Forum, the Jardin Exotique… Around forty public car parks and nearly 20,000 parking bays are dotted around the Principality. An interactive map<\/a> lets\u00a0you see where spots are free, in real time. Enter the desired location and the intended parking time, and it will show the nearest car park by means of a flashing blue dot.<\/p>\n

For tourists who wish to visit the Prince’s Palace or the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, the best option is the Parking des P\u00eacheurs, for example.<\/p>\n\n

A banner on the right also shows a full list of all car parks. To make it even easier, the street from which the car park can be accessed and a prediction of the number of remaining spaces are also provided. <\/p>\n\n

Louis II car park temporarily closed<\/h2>\n\n

The Louis\u202fII car park<\/a> is completely closed since 21 July 2025 for 10 weeks, for repair work on the floors, walls and ceilings. It will reopen on 6 October 2025<\/strong> at 6 am. Meanwhile, season ticket holders are being redirected to the Grimaldi Forum and Portier car parks. Other users are encouraged to use the Viaduc car park.<\/p>\n\n

Car park rates<\/h2>\n\n

With the exception of six specific car parks (the two park-and-ride facilities and the Abbaye, Place d’Armes, Les Oliviers and Bellevue car parks), all Monaco car parks charge the same rates. <\/p>\n\n

You don’t have to pay anything if you stay for under an hour. However, charges are \u20ac2.80 for 1hr15, \u20ac4.40 for 1hr30, \u20ac5.90 for 1hr45 and \u20ac7.30 for 2 hours. There is a sliding scale of charges, with 3 hours of parking costing \u20ac11.60, and 4 hours totalling \u20ac14.50…<\/p>\n\n

At night – i.e. between 7 pm and 8 am – parking costs \u20ac0.70 per 15-minute period. For 24-hour parking, the charge is \u20ac24. <\/p>\n\n

Lost tickets incur a flat charge of \u20ac25 per day.<\/p>\n\n

Please note: entry is not free on Saturdays or Sundays, the weekend rates are the same as those charged during the week.<\/p>\n

Monthly subscriptions<\/h2>\n\n

For added peace of mind, it is possible to obtain a space in a public parking lot<\/a> in Monaco. However, note that priority is always given to Monegasque residents who do not have private parking spaces in their building.<\/p>\n\n

If you are employed in the Principality, you are also eligible. Priority is given to drivers who use electric vehicles and\/or have a car-pooling subscription or similar. <\/p>\n\n

After a price increase at the beginning of the year, monthly season tickets are as follows: for residents of the Principality, the classic subscription is \u20ac117 per month.<\/p>\n\n

People who work in Monaco can take out the \u00ab\u202fjour-travail\u202f\u00bb (work day) subscription, including 300 parking hours, for 103\u202f\u20ac per month (93,50 euros in 2022). These offers allow for regular parking in one or more specific car parks, subject to availability. <\/p>\n\n

Other user categories \u2014 professionals, Monaco licensed athletes or public authority workers may also use these offers. Conditions apply.<\/p>\n\n

Connected parking bays for delivery drivers<\/a><\/p>\n\n

Park-and-ride facilities are cheaper<\/h2>\n\n

The aim of park-and-ride facilities (also known as city entrance car parks) is simple: to ensure that as many motorists as possible park on the outskirts and therefore ease congestion on the Principality’s roads. For the moment, the only park-and-ride facility near Monaco is the Zac Saint-Antoine in Cap d’Ail. <\/p>\n\n

Commuters and visitors will have the choice of travelling to their place of work or elsewhere between: buses with a free pass, or the Salines walkway which, once completed, will enable them to reach Princess Grace Hospital and Fontvieille on foot. <\/p>\n\n

These car parks are an economical alternative. Eligible users can take advantage of greatly reduced rates, thanks to a discount of 52\u202f\u20ac per month, provided they only park in these places.For example, a worker with a workday subscription (103\u202f\u20ac) will only pay 51\u202f\u20ac per month with the park-and-ride option.<\/p>\n\n

Without the subscription mentioned above, the park-and-ride facility is still cheaper : \u20ac4 per two-hour period, compared to \u20ac7 in a ‘normal’ car park.<\/p>\n\n

Les Salines car park<\/h2>\n\n

Mostly aimed at employees, the \u00a0Salines car park (inaugurated on 15 April 2024) is a breath of fresh air for the Principality.Located at the western entrance to the town, it is connected to the centre by a free shuttle bus service every 10 minutes<\/strong>, and has modern facilities on 15 levels (electric charging points, bike station, public lifts\u2026) :<\/p>\n\n
