{"id":168189,"date":"2023-03-15T14:57:53","date_gmt":"2023-03-15T13:57:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/2023\/03\/ventimiglias-metamorphosis-continues-with-new-constituente-square\/"},"modified":"2023-03-16T12:03:14","modified_gmt":"2023-03-16T11:03:14","slug":"ventimiglias-metamorphosis-continues-with-new-constituente-square","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2023\/03\/ventimiglias-metamorphosis-continues-with-new-constituente-square\/","title":{"rendered":"Ventimiglia&#8217;s metamorphosis continues with new Constituente Square"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The large underground car park that was originally planned will be replaced by a small overground car park.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New buildings are springing up like mushrooms in Ventimiglia, which is being transformed day by day since the arrival of the Marina Development Corporation and its main contractor, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2022\/08\/robert-thielen-driving-ventimiglias-development\/\">Robert Thielen<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the new port, the Dutch-origin Monegasque resident was behind the creation of a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2023\/02\/ventimiglia-a-5-star-hotel-and-60-high-end-residences-about-to-be-built\/\"> 5-star hotel with residences, <\/a>a trendy restaurant named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2022\/12\/la-rocca-the-future-of-fine-dining-in-ventimiglia\/\">&#8220;La Rocca Ristorante&#8221;<\/a> and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2022\/10\/photos-the-best-italian-architects-for-the-future-international-school-in-ventimiglia\/\">future campus<\/a> to the east of the town. The stated objective is to make the Italian Riviera an international tourist destination.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1724\" height=\"904\" src=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/carte-place.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-168165\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/carte-place.png 1724w, https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/carte-place-572x300.png 572w, https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/carte-place-1024x537.png 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1724px) 100vw, 1724px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>\u00a9 Marina Development Corporation<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The area above the port of Cala del Forte, Borgo del Forte, is also being transformed with the piazza Constituente, which is about to undergo a facelift. After the redesign it will be entirely pedestrianised, with a large fountain, benches and flower beds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The former ACI building, already acquired by the Marina Development Corporation and located in the square, will be called &#8220;Club Italia&#8221; and will undergo a complete refurbishment, with the aim of becoming a landmark for both residents and tourists. The building will be raised and the restaurants, bars and shops will cover a total area of 600 m\u00b2. A venue that could become the main sales outlet for local produce, starting with wine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for the car park, it wil be at ground level instead of underground, and about 100 metres from Piazza Constituente.
