Bus, train, taxi, helicopter. Monaco Tribune looks at the different ways of getting to Nice airport from the Principality.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Perhaps the easiest way is by train. Head over to Monaco station. The journey takes 30 minutes on average and costs \u20ac5.40. There are up to three departures per hour in the Nice direction, with trains stopping at Nice Saint-Augustin, also known as Grand Arenas Sud since the location of the station was recently changed due to construction work. At the station exit you will see the Grand Ar\u00e9nas tram stop, where a free service will take you directly to the airport, terminal 1 or 2. <\/p>\n\n

By the n\u00b0 607 bus<\/h2>\n\n

For \u20ac2.50, you can also take the traditional n\u00b0 607, one of the two sections of the n\u00b0 100 bus, which leaves from Monaco at Saint-Roman and terminates in Nice at the Square Normandie stop in the Nice Riquier district, near the Carrefour TNL.<\/p>\n\n

NB: the Port Lympia stop in Nice, which is the terminus, has been moved. It is now called Square Normandie and is located in the Nice Riquier district, near the Carrefour TNL.\u00a0<\/i>\u00a9 Zou<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n

From there, the airport is just a few tram stops away. At the Port Lympia stop, hop on line 2 towards CADAM. Get off at the Grand Arenas stop and from here, a free service takes passengers to the airport’s Terminal 1 or 2. The tram ticket will cost you \u20ac1.50\u20ac. <\/p>\n\n

The Menton – Monaco shuttle<\/h2>\n\n

The n\u00b0 80 bus runs daily to Menton and Nice. There is a bus\u00a0 every 45 minutes to and from Monaco. In the Menton direction, there are 6 to 7 journeys per day. The n\u00b0 80 bus goes to both terminals at Nice airport and costs \u20ac19. Tickets can be purchased from the driver, at the airport or on the Nice airport express<\/a> website. It is now possible to pay for the journey by bank card, as is the case on the Principality’s buses<\/a>. \n \n<\/p>\n\n

In Monaco, the bus makes several stops such as Place d’Armes, Pont Sainte-D\u00e9vote, the Grimaldi Forum or the Sporting. <\/p>\n\n

Journey time is around 45 minutes from Monaco, 75 minutes from Menton.<\/p>\n\n

By taxi <\/h2>\n\n

The Ministerial Order n\u00b0 2023-148 of 9 March 2023, published in Monaco’s official gazette, sets out precise rates for Monegasque taxi fares. If you would like one of the Principality’s 95 drivers to take you to Nice airport, there is a fixed price of \u20ac100. If you are leaving from Monaco, you can call 00 377 93 15 01 01 to book your journey at any time of the day. <\/p>\n\n

Solution found to thorny issue between Monegasque and French taxis<\/a><\/p>\n\n

On the French side, similar flat rates are now in force for taxi journeys between the airport and Monaco, in particular. You should budget \u20ac95 to get to the Principality. Taxi ranks are located at Terminal 1 (Gate A1) and Terminal 2 (Gate A3). Please note that only vehicles located in official taxi ranks are authorised to operate.<\/p>\n\n

It is also possible to take a private hire car, for the sum of 50 to 60 euros. <\/p>\n\n

By air<\/h2>\n\n

Are you in a real hurry? Monacair provides helicopter rides between Nice and Monaco every day of the year. The 7-minute flight costs \u20ac195 per seat. It will land you as close to the runway as possible. Flights are available every 30 minutes from Monaco heliport, avenue des Ligures, behind the Princess Grace rose garden. <\/p>\n\n
