After the 80th edition of the Monaco Grand Prix, Prince Albert II is optimistic about the future of the legendary race.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The Monaco Grand Prix proved once again over the weekend that it is a key date in the Formula 1 world championship calendar, as Prince Albert II confirmed in an interview with Monaco-Matin. <\/p>\n\n

“They [Liberty Media, F1’s owner – Ed.] have ideas on how to improve and develop Formula 1’s image to make it more dynamic and attractive, but at the same time they don’t want to change the FIA’s format and regulations,” he said.<\/p>\n\n

Monaco Grand Prix: Max Verstappen wins second Principality title<\/a><\/p>\n\n

“They have lots of ideas, but they’ve always told me off the record that they couldn’t envisage an F1 season without the Monaco track. It’s just not possible. They can’t say it publicly, but I can.”<\/p>\n\n

An unmissable event for motor sports fans and international stars, who once again flocked to the pit lane, the Monaco Grand Prix ended in victory for Max Verstappen ahead of Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon. <\/p>\n\n

Michel Boeri: \u201cIn 2025, we will do everything we can to make sure the contract is renewed<\/a><\/p>\n\n

In keeping with tradition in Monaco, Prince Albert II himself presented the trophy to the winner, while Princess Charlene and Andrea Casiraghi gave the trophies to the runner-up and third place drivers respectively, before the Dutch and Austrian anthems were played by members of the Prince’s Carabinieri Orchestra. <\/p>\n
