The book was written by seven journalists and specialists who were invited to find out about the company for themselves.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In 1998, Jim Ratcliffe, a British businessman who had spent the first ten years of his life in council housing, founded the INEOS petrochemicals group. 25 years on, Sir Jim is now one of the UK’s richest men.<\/p>\n\n

In fact according to the SundayTimes<\/i><\/a>\u00a0annual 2023 rankings, the Monaco resident and owner of OGC Nice moved up 27 places in the space of just one year. The founder of INEOS is now in second place, with estimated assets of \u00a329,688 billion, or just over \u20ac34 billion.<\/p>\n\n

INEOS is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, the group is about to publish a book entitled Grit, Rigour & Humour: The INEOS Story<\/i>. The book was co-written by seven leading journalists and specialists, who were invited to discover INEOS for themselves, and who relate the Group’s activities in the sports, automotive, chemicals, consumer products and philanthropy fields.<\/p>\n\n

The first chapter was written by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who shares his personal vision of the growth and success of his company. The final chapter contains raw notes and comments from INEOS managers and executives, explaining how Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Andy Currie and John Reece have made the INEOS Group what it is today. <\/p>\n\n
