MC-Clic is presenting a new version of its human-sized drone, the MC-One, at the Top Marques show<\/b>.<\/p>\n\n

Not a flying car as such, rather a drone with a seat. The new version of this little beauty now only weighs 200 kilos and can fly faster and longer, for 25 minutes. <\/p>\n\n

The MC-One was a surprise at the 2022 edition of Top Marques. Behind this project is the Monegasque company MC-Clic, which can often be seen around the Principality, particularly at festive events when they organise drone shows such as the Monegasque public holidays<\/a> or the Saint Devota celebration at the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n\n

A Monegasque drone <\/h2>\n\n

“MC-Clic works in partnership with L2Concept, who manufacture the drone’s chassis. They are based in Sofia Antipolis,” says Erwan Grimaud, founder of MC-Clic. A purely local product, the appliance is completely assembled in Monaco.<\/p>\n\n

Erwan and his team have made their vehicle more efficient and will soon be revealing the latest version, which is similar in performance to the one on show at Top Marques, but with a new undercarriage and no roll bar. It comes in a triple black colour and is made entirely of carbon. <\/p>\n\n

Flying people and goods <\/h2>\n\n

While this version of the MC-One has a seat and is of course intended for leisure use by human beings, Erwan Grimaud and MC-Clic are working in parallel “on other ideas.” “The aim is to have a hull, with no one on board and\u00a0100 kilos of cargo instead,” says the founder of the Monaco-based company.<\/p>\n\n

Deliveries, civilian rescues, supplying petrol stations… MC-Clic’s roadmap sets out a number of possible uses, and the company is keen to move up a gear. “We’ve been carrying out drone deliveries for years, with weights of up to 2kg (…) and we know that these machines deliver in 12 minutes instead of 4 or 5 hours by road.” Leisure and utility, two fields that the company is working on “simultaneously”.<\/p>\n\n

What’s next for MC-One? “Why not fly people from Nice to Monaco? Or even within Monaco, which would be great,” says its inventor with a smile. In the meantime, he is taking orders. You can expect to pay \u20ac180,000 for this futuristic toy.
