The Princess is also President of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment and patron of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development (Decade of the Ocean).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

As part of the third Foundations’ Dialogue for the Decade of the Ocean, co-organised in Monaco by the Prince Albert II Foundation and UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, the Sovereign was granted an audience on Wednesday 14 June with Princess Lalla Hasnaa, a member of the Moroccan royal family and sister of King Mohammed VI.<\/p>\n

The audience was held at the Prince’s Palace. President of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection and patron of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development, the Princess was accompanied by Mohammed Sadiki, Minister of Agriculture, Sea Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, and Nouzha Alaoui, Secretary General of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection.<\/p>\n

The meeting was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Mohammed VI Foundation and the Prince Albert II Foundation. The aim is to strengthen the exchange of experience between the two institutions and pool the “b7arblaplastic” (Moroccan Foundation) and “beyond plastic med<\/a>” (Monegasque Foundation) operations.<\/p>\n\n

Prior to the audience, Prince Albert II and Princess Lalla Hasnaa took part in the high-level opening segment of this third Dialogue of Foundations for the Decade of the Ocean, in the presence of the Director-General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay, and Princess Hala Bint Khaled Bin Sultan of Saudi Arabia. <\/p>\n
