Jean-Ren\u00e9 Palacio, who was universally recognised and admired by the music and arts community, was the organiser of emblematic festivals in Juan-les-Pins, Monaco and Meg\u00e8ve. He strove to keep the genre alive<\/i>,&#8221; the trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf told France 3 C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur. On his Twitter feed, the drummer Manu Katch\u00e9 also shared, &#8220;<i>Elegance, musical passion, humour, simplicity and kindness were the hallmarks of this extraordinary man.&#8221;<\/i> Not forgetting the American bass player Marcus Miller: &#8220;<i>Jean-Ren\u00e9 gave me incredible and unfailing support as an artist. It was made during the first decade in the career of L\u00e9o Fender, the make&#8217;s founder and creator.&#8221;<\/i>&#13;\n&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"related\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2023\/11\/jazzy-cosy-evenings-at-the-hotel-metropole\/\">Jazzy, cosy evenings at the H\u00f4tel M\u00e9tropole<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p>Taken as a whole, the collection is a potted history of rock as seen through the musical tastes of this great enthusiast. The collection began in the 1950s, &#8220;<i>when rock music was taking off with rockabilly, the French &#8216;y\u00e9y\u00e9&#8217; movement and the twist.
