H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco awarded<\/span><\/a> the Prince’s Prize for Innovative Philanthropy to Mr Douglas Jackson, President and CEO of Project C.U.R.E. in recognition of the innovative work carried out by this organisation in the field of strategic philanthropy. Project C.U.R.E. (Commission on Urgent Relief and Equipment) is one of the world’s largest non-profit organisations providing medical supplies and equipment to developing countries.<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Project C.U.R.E.<\/span><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Based in Denver, United States, and working in the health field since 1987, the association empowers doctors and nurses in developing countries to treat diseases, administer vaccines, perform surgery and ensure safe childbirth. Project C.U.R.E. collects and sorts used or surplus medical equipment and supplies from manufacturers and hospitals for redistribution to 130 developing countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prince’s Prize for Innovative philanthropy<\/span><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Prince’s Prize for Innovative Philanthropy is the result of a partnership between the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Tocqueville Foundation. The Prize is awarded to individuals or institutions as part of the annual Prince’s Round Table for Philanthropy, a closed-door discussion bringing together major international philanthropists in the Principality. The event, held at the Yacht Club de Monaco, celebrated its 10th edition this year and brought together nearly 40 philanthropists for the occasion. <\/span><\/p>\n
