{"id":216725,"date":"2024-02-12T20:28:08","date_gmt":"2024-02-12T18:28:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/2024\/02\/a500-and-a8-disruptions-this-week\/"},"modified":"2024-02-12T20:28:09","modified_gmt":"2024-02-12T18:28:09","slug":"a500-and-a8-disruptions-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2024\/02\/a500-and-a8-disruptions-this-week\/","title":{"rendered":"A500 and A8 disruptions this week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Monaco tunnel and Menton interchange on the A8 are concerned.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Monaco tunnel will be closed in the Monaco &gt; A8 direction on the night of Thursday 15 to Friday 16 February, from 9 pm to 5 am.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Passenger vehicles\u00a0 will be able to join the A8 motorway via the <i>La Turbie<\/i> interchange<i> (no. 57).<\/i> HGVs will have to use the <i>Nice Est<\/i> interchange <i>(no. 55).<\/i><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Traffic in the opposite direction is not affected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><b>The Menton interchange towards Italy on the A8 motorway will also be closed from 9pm to 5am on 12 and 13 February.\u00a0<\/b>Vehicles will not be able to enter or leave in this direction.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><b>Diversions<\/b>: Users who wish to head towards Italy can take the entry slip road at the <i>Menton interchange (no. 59) <\/i>towards Aix-en-Provence, then make a U-turn at the <i>Roquebrune-Cap-Martin interchange (no. 58) <\/i>)to rejoin the A8 motorway towards Italy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicles will be able to <b>leave the A8 motorway<\/b> via the access ramp at the <i>La Turbie interchange (no. 57).<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The following night, <b>from Tuesday 13 to Wednesday 14 February, from 8.30 pm to 6 am, the same interchange will be closed in the opposite direction, towards Aix-en-Provence<\/b>.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><b>Diversions<\/b>: To <b>leave the motorway at Menton<\/b>, users will have to make a U-turn at the <i>Roquebrune-Cap-Martin interchange (no. 58),<\/i> take the A8 motorway towards Italy and exit at <i>Menton (no. 59)<\/i>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Passenger vehicles will be able to<b> join the A8 motorway<\/b> via the access ramp at the <i>La Turbie interchange (no. 57). <\/i>HGVs over 19t will have to use the RD 6007 as far as the <i>Nice-Est interchange (no. 55).<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>These disruptions are due to ongoing work to lengthen the Menton slip road.
