On 3 November, Paris Match took a look at the rope access technicans who weed the walls of the Prince&#8217;s Palace.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Journalist Pierrick Geais reports on the \u2018dizzying work\u2019 carried out by Jos\u00e9, Romain and Sidali \u2018several dozen metres above the Mediterranean.\u2019 The trio works for the Entreprise Mon\u00e9gasque de Travaux Acrobatiques (EMTA &#8211; Monaco Acrobatic Work Company), doing their utmost to &#8216;protect precious heritage&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=476&#038;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F3897403020537790%2F&#038;show_text=false&#038;width=267&#038;t=0\" width=\"267\" height=\"476\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\"><\/iframe>\r\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-la-demeure-du-prince-choyee-naturellement\">Pampering the Prince&#8217;s residence, naturally<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Helmeted and harnessed on high, they take off any weeds, moss or ivy that is growing on the walls, by hand. No chemicals are used on the protective walls that surround the Prince&#8217;s Palace, home to Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene and their children, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">High above the Mediterranean, the rope access technicians certainly have a fine view. Below them, the city of Monaco and the blue sea of the C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur, above them the Principality&#8217;s oldest neighbourhood and the Prince&#8217;s Palace, maintained by over 130 employees throughout the year.
