From \u00cele-de-France to Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur, we reveal the Top 3 regions that attract gourmets because of their Michelin-starred restaurants.<\/strong>&#13;\n&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<p>A study conducted by Preply lists French regions with Michelin stars by the hundreds. No surprises at the top of the list, with <strong>\u00cele-de-France<\/strong> (greater Paris), which boasts 137 Michelin-starred restaurants.\u00a0<strong>Paris<\/strong> in particular accounts for a large proportion of these, but the region also includes towns like <strong>Versailles<\/strong>, where the French culinary tradition is finding new ambassadors of excellence.&#13;\n&#13;\n\u00cele-de-France is closely followed by the <strong>Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes<\/strong> region, with 110 restaurants. This region, which is famous for its mountains, cheeses and local specialties, has succeeded in blending tradition and modernity in its cuisine. Chefs such as Pierre Orsi in <strong>Lyon<\/strong> and Anne-Sophie Pic in <strong>Valence<\/strong> epitomise a region where gastronomy is expressed through dishes that combine rustic flavours and sophisticated techniques.<\/p>\n\n<p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And <strong>Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur<\/strong>, renowned for its sun-kissed cuisine, also features on the podium with 81 Michelin-starred establishments. The Mediterranean sun has a profound influence on the cuisine here. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/2019\/06\/menton-le-mirazur-nomme-meilleur-restaurant-du-monde\/\">Mirazur<\/a> in Menton, with three Michelin stars, is an emblematic example of an establishment that brings out the best in local produce &#8211; fish, herbs, olive oil and citrus fruits &#8211; to offer an unforgettable fine dining experience. We can also mention La Ch\u00e8vre d&#8217;Or and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2023\/08\/justin-schmitt-wins-first-michelin-star-in-eze\/\">Ch\u00e2teau Eza<\/a> in Eze, Hostellerie J\u00e9r\u00f4me in La Turbie and Flaveur in Nice, which kept their two stars for another year in 2023.<\/p><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"related\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2022\/03\/where-are-the-michelin-starred-restaurants-on-the-french-riviera\/\">Where to find the Michelin-starred restaurants on the French Riviera?<\/a><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-monaco-capitale-de-la-haute-gastronomie\">Monaco, capital of haute cuisine<\/h2>\n\n<p>The Principality continues to shine on the world&#8217;s gastronomic stage, cementing its reputation as the destination of choice for epicureans. This year, Monaco once again boasts nine Michelin stars, shared among six of its most prestigious restaurants.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/restaurant-monaco-1024x600.jpg\" alt=\"H&#xF4;tel de Paris - Restaurant le Grill\" class=\"wp-image-166431\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/restaurant-monaco-1024x600.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/restaurant-monaco-512x300.jpg 512w, https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/restaurant-monaco.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Le Grill, overlooking the Mediterranean \u00a9 Monte-Carlo Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des Bains de Mer<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>These include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2020\/06\/michelin-star-restaurant-le-louis-xv-announces-its-reopening\/\"><strong>Louis XV &#8211; Alain Ducasse<\/strong><\/a> (***) at the H\u00f4tel de Paris, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2022\/03\/michelin-guide-2022-second-star-for-marcel-ravin\/\"><strong>Blue Bay<\/strong><\/a> (**) at the Monte-Carlo Bay managed by Marcel Ravin, Yannick All\u00e9no&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2022\/04\/taste-test-pavyllon-yannick-allenos-new-monaco-restaurant\/\"><strong>Pavyllon Monte-Carlo<\/strong><\/a> (*) at the H\u00f4tel Hermitage, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/2019\/01\/le-grill-recoit-sa-premiere-etoile-michelin\/\"><strong>Le Grill<\/strong><\/a> (*) at the H\u00f4tel de Paris, Marcel Ravin&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2022\/05\/taste-test-elsa-at-the-monte-carlo-beach\/\"><strong>Elsa<\/strong><\/a> (*) at the Monte-Carlo Beach, the very first 100% organic restaurant to receive a Michelin star, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2021\/02\/antonio-salvatore-italian-michelin-star-chef-in-monte-carlo\/\"><strong>La Table d&#8217;Antonio Salvatore<\/strong><\/a> (*) and <strong>Yoshi<\/strong> (*), the only Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant on the C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur, both located at the H\u00f4tel M\u00e9tropole.<\/p>\n\n<p>But the real surprise this year was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2024\/03\/les-ambassadeurs-by-christophe-cussac-already-two-michelin-stars\/\"><strong>Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac<\/strong><\/a> at the H\u00f4tel M\u00e9tropole, which was awarded two stars just nine months after it opened. They also reflect a breadth and depth of gastronomic excellence, making France a must-visit destination for food lovers.
