It shows a cumulative total of donations by Monegasque resident Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou to his charitable foundations of \u00a389m, or \u20ac107m at the current exchange rate, since 2010.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charitable work of the &nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.stelios.foundation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stelios Philanthropic Foundation<\/a>&nbsp;is principally funded by donations from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/easy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">easyGroup<\/a>, the creator and owner of the easy family of brands. The Trustees\u2019 report, a section of the <a href=\"https:\/\/stelios.foundation\/wp-content\/uploads\/companies_house_document.pdf\">annual report and financial statements document<\/a>, states that a cumulative total of donations by Sir Stelios and associated entities amounts to GBP 89 million, or EUR 107 million have been made to his two charitable Foundations, one in the UK and its affiliated Foundation in Monaco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The support takes the following form:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Help for the needy in Greece and Cyprus through \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2023\/10\/sir-stelios-haji-ioannou-his-foundation-and-monacos-hellenic-community-raise-handsome-amount-to-support-greece\/\">Food From the Heart<\/a>\u2019, an initiative that has been providing snacks at a number of distribution points for those who request them, since 2013<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholarships to schools and universities, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2024\/11\/255000-raised-for-10-new-lse-stelios-scholarships\/\">including the LSE<\/a> and City University in London<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2022\/05\/stelios-philanthropic-foundation-rewards-ten-companies\/\">Bi-communal awards<\/a> to teams comprising one Turkish Cypriot and one Greek Cypriot who cooperate in business in Cyprus, as a means to promoting lasting peace on the island<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donations to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2024\/05\/stelios-philanthropic-foundation-donates-640000-to-unicef-to-help-treat-malnourished-children-in-gaza\/\">other charities<\/a> with a range of causes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2024\/09\/stelios-awards-recognise-young-greek-entrepreneurs\/\">Support for entrepreneurs<\/a> in the UK, Greece and Cyprus through cash grants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The report shows incoming resources of almost \u00a317m, and expenditure on charitable activities of approximately \u00a39.5m, for an overall fund balance increase of almost \u00a37.5m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sir Stelios commented: <em>&#8220;Following the change of the articles of association with a new investment policy adopted on 10 April 2024, the charitable company will invest its surplus funds in order to generate its own recurring income from which it can fund future donations.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"related\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2024\/01\/sir-stelios-haji-ioannou-celebrates-30-easy-years\/\">Sir Stelios celebrates 30 &#8216;easy&#8217; years<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The&nbsp;Stelios Philanthropic Foundation&nbsp;has published its annual report and financial statements for the year ended 30th September 2024.
