On 23 April, at a charity cocktail party, chef S\u00e9bastien Sanjou&#8217;s kitchens will welcome the cream of Monegasque chefs, <em>Meilleurs ouvriers de France<\/em> (MOFs), celebrities and non-profit organisations. The aim is <em>&#8220;To support J\u00e9r\u00e9my&#8217;s ambition to become the first disabled <\/em>Meilleur Ouvrier de France<em>,&#8221;<\/em> explains Gilles Brunner, president of the <em>Grand Cordon d&#8217;Or de la Cuisine Fran\u00e7aise<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=476&#038;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fjeremy.biasiol%2Fvideos%2F1154090419847397%2F&#038;show_text=false&#038;width=269&#038;t=0\" width=\"269\" height=\"476\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowFullScreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After suffering a stroke at the age of 39 in 2019, and despite his strong will and lengthy physiotherapy treatment, the Michelin-starred chef was left with significant physical damage to the left side of his body. This has forced him to modify his cooking techniques and use special equipment in preparation for the competition. <em>&#8220;Taking part in the MOF competition is an incredibly intense challenge even for a chef who is not disabled. It can mean up to 18 hours of training every day,&#8221;<\/em> says Nicolas Navarro, executive chef at Le Marius.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"related wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2025\/04\/where-are-the-michelin-starred-restaurants-on-the-french-riviera\/\">Where are the Michelin-starred restaurants on the French Riviera?<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over and above the costs involved in terms of administration, preparation and a special structure, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Ramos, vice-president of the <em>Monaco Go\u00fbt et Saveurs association<\/em>, hails J\u00e9r\u00e9my Biasiol&#8217;s determination and commitment to inclusion and disability: <em>&#8220;The restaurant business is a very demanding profession where the spirit of community is paramount. This \u2018little something extra\u2019 is an opportunity for all of us to forge strong bonds and see disability in a different light.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p
