{"id":288430,"date":"2025-04-24T16:47:02","date_gmt":"2025-04-24T14:47:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/2025\/04\/formula-e-invests-e25000-in-monegasque-menstrual-revolution\/"},"modified":"2025-04-24T16:49:45","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T14:49:45","slug":"formula-e-invests-e25000-in-monegasque-menstrual-revolution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2025\/04\/formula-e-invests-e25000-in-monegasque-menstrual-revolution\/","title":{"rendered":"Formula E invests \u20ac25,000 in Monegasque menstrual revolution"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The 100% electric championship is supporting the <em>Monar\u00e8gles<\/em> project in its quest to make Monaco the first country in the world to guarantee menstrual equality.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: black;\">In the run-up to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2025\/01\/monte-carlo-rally-e-prix-grand-prix-2025s-unmissable-motor-races-in-monaco\/&lt;span style=\">Monaco E-Prix on 3 and 4 May 2025<\/a><span style=\"color: black;\">, Formula E is demonstrating that its commitment extends well beyond the racetrack by donating \u20ac25,000 to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2021\/03\/she-can-he-can-fighting-for-equality-every-day\/\"><span style=\"color: blue; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">SheCanHeCan<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: black;\"> non-profit via its Better Futures Fund.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-un-don-pour-briser-les-tabous\">A donation to help tackle taboos<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The significant contribution will be used to support &#8220;Monar\u00e8gles&#8221;, an ambitious project launched in 2022 that strives to ensure that periods are never an obstacle to education, work or everyday life. Despite Monaco&#8217;s wealthy image, many workers and students still encounter difficulties accessing sanitary protection and information on the sensitive subject.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: black;\">Thanks to this funding, SheCanHeCan will be able to considerably expand its impact: wider availability of organic sanitary towels in public places, development of educational programmes, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/2023\/12\/un-distributeur-de-protection-periodiques-installe-a-fanb\/\"><span style=\"color: blue; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">installation of sustainable dispensers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: black;\">. Over 400 young people will benefit directly from these initiatives, while a further 1,000 people will be reached by the awareness campaigns.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-actions-concretes-pendant-le-e-prix\">Concrete actions during the E-prix<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A number of initiatives will be put in place during the race week: a career talk led by Vibeke Thomsen, founder of SheCanHeCan, as part of the FIA Girls On Track programme; a special &#8220;Driving Change for Gender Equality&#8221; event organised in the Prince&#8217;s Automobile Collection premises; and the supply of free biological sanitary protection in the E-Prix restrooms.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-un-engagement-pour-l-egalite-dans-le-sport-automobile\">Committed to equality in motor sport<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;In Formula E, sustainability is about more than the environment: it&#8217;s also about building fairer and more inclusive societies,&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0 says Julia Pall\u00e9, VP Sustainability with Formula E. The partnership is part of a broader strategy to promote diversity and equality in motorsport, with initiatives such as FIA Girls On Track and the return of the all-female test planned for Season 12.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vibeke Thomsen stresses the transformative ambition of the collaboration:\u00a0 <em>&#8220;Through Formula E, we aspire to make Monaco the first egalitarian country in terms of menstruation, providing a more inclusive environment for all.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having already impacted over 13,500 people around the world, the
