Massimiliano Mordenti, the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Monegasque Motonautique&#8217;s official driver and founder of the Offroad Club Monaco, set off from the Monaco Yacht Club for a three-hour crossing that is one for the history books. He headed for Gallinara Island in Liguria, then back to the Principality &#8211; powered throughout by a jet ski running exclusively on bioethanol.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/massimiliano-mordenti-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Massimiliano Mordenti\" class=\"wp-image-315099\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/massimiliano-mordenti-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/massimiliano-mordenti-450x300.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/massimiliano-mordenti.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Massimiliano Mordenti \u00a9 OCM<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-innovation-technique-et-conscience-environnementale\">Technical innovation and environmental awareness<\/h2>\n\n<p>As well as the pure sporting performance, the UIM record attempt (pending ratification) symbolises the OCM philosophy: &#8220;The wake of Monaco&#8221;. Floating Life engineer Andrea Pezzini designed a revolutionary refuelling system especially for the occasion &#8211; a 3D-printed spill-proof cap made from recycled polyethylene, which enables refuelling at sea without any environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-un-projet-federateur-soutenu-par-les-institutions\">Institutional support for a cooperative project<\/h2>\n\n<p>The technical and human feat received support from the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the patronage of the Italian Embassy, represented by H.E. Manuela Ruosi. The Monegasque Motonautical Federation, under the presidency of Gianfranco Rossi, supervised the entire operation with stewards Philippe Palmero and Philippe Orecchia on University, coordinator of the project&#8217;s International Technical-Scientific Committee, was also on hand during the adventure, demonstrating the academic dimension of the initiative, which
