The 13<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0edition of Monaco Business focused on entrepreneurship and attractiveness.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><em>&#8220;The Monegasque economy has demonstrated [\u2026] its resilience, its robustness, its creativity, its imagination and its ability to adapt to all the economic challenges of the day,&#8221; <\/em>declared the Minister of State in his\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2025\/09\/prince-albert-ii-meets-monegasque-companies-at-monaco-business-fair\/\">opening speech<\/a>\u00a0at the 13th Monaco Business trade show, which took place on 18 September at the M\u00e9ridien Beach Plaza&#8217;s Sea Club. At the heart of Monaco&#8217;s<a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2025\/09\/monegasque-economy-holds-up-remarkably-despite-decline-in-foreign-trade\/\"> economic vitality<\/a>, Christophe Mirmand praised the remarkable results achieved in the business start-up sector, with\u00a0<em>&#8220;565 [start-ups], compared with 371 last year&#8221;,\u00a0<\/em>illustrating the Principality&#8217;s continuing appeal for professionals<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"vEs0W3yMdB\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2025\/09\/prince-albert-ii-meets-monegasque-companies-at-monaco-business-fair\/\">Prince Albert II meets Monegasque companies at Monaco Business fair<\/a><\/blockquote><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" title=\"&#8220;Prince Albert II meets Monegasque companies at Monaco Business fair&#8221; &#8212; Monaco Tribune\" src=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2025\/09\/prince-albert-ii-meets-monegasque-companies-at-monaco-business-fair\/embed\/#?secret=cRfoieN56C#?secret=vEs0W3yMdB\" data-secret=\"vEs0W3yMdB\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-un-modele-economique-qui-porte-ses-fruits\"><strong>A successful economic model<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>There&#8217;s no doubt about it: this autumn&#8217;s watchword is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2025\/09\/monaco-banks-on-attractiveness-to-boost-economy\/\">attractiveness<\/a>. This is borne out by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2025\/09\/ludmilla-raconnat-le-goff-appointed-delegate-for-attractiveness\/\">the recent appointment<\/a> of\u00a0Ludmilla Raconnat Le Goff as delegate in charge of attractiveness. She attended the show, restating Monaco&#8217;s unique assets:\u00a0<em>&#8220;unrivalled political and institutional stability&#8221;,<\/em>\u00a0<em>&#8220;zero public debt&#8221;, &#8220;simple and visible taxation&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>&#8220;a compact, agile economic ecosystem with particularly rapid access to decision-makers, authorities and networks.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/2023\/06\/une-nouvelle-directrice-a-la-tete-de-monacotech\/\">Sandrine Sauval-Chanteloube<\/a>, director of the start-up incubator Monaco Tech, also stressed the favourable environment:\u00a0<em>&#8220;Monaco is a fantastic ecosystem for launching a business. The Principality projects an image of stability and economic vitality that stimulates innovation.\u00a0Given the size of its territory, there is a wide diversity of businesses and it is also &#8216;easier&#8217; to meet investors. At Monaco Tech, that is our precise role &#8211; as a facilitator and driving force in the development of start-ups in their early years.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/monacotech-demo-day-71123&#xA9;-manuel-vitali-direction-de-la-communication-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-200591\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>The Demo Days organised by Monaco Tech present young start-ups&#8217; projects \u00a9 Monaco Tribune<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>In her speech to Monegasque professionals, the Monegasque Delegate for Attractiveness stressed:\u00a0<em>&#8220;Attractiveness cannot be decreed, it has to be built every day through constant dialogue and an ability to adapt and demonstrate agility. My job is to turn your feedback into concrete proposals for improving existing systems.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-des-freins-a-surmonter\"><strong>Obstacles to be overcome<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Despite these advantages, starting a business in Monaco can be expensive:\u00a0<em>&#8220;the biggest obstacle is obviously the costs an entrepreneur might have to face. In particular, the main fixed cost is the high price of property,&#8221; <\/em>says Annalisa Cellario, Office Manager at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2022\/02\/video-monaco-boost-a-springboard-for-monegasque-entrepreneurs\/\">Monaco Boost<\/a>. This is particularly true for young companies, which have to deal with substantial start-up costs, as Hanna Derrien, President of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/2025\/05\/la-jcem-donne-rendez-vous-aux-entrepreneurs-pour-sa-soiree-pitch-night\/\">Jeune Chambre \u00c9conomique de Monaco (JCEM),<\/a>\u00a0pointed out.\u00a0<em>&#8220;Official authorisation procedures, opening a bank account and the costs of finding a place to work, such as a business centre, are all difficulties that entrepreneurs face.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-un-accompagnement-structure-pour-surmonter-les-difficultes\"><strong>Structured support to overcome difficulties<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Fortunately, the Principality has developed a particularly dense support ecosystem and can count on the essential support of committed local stakeholders to help overcome these challenges. Monaco Boost, a<em> &#8220;100% state-owned company designed to help Monegasque entrepreneurs or their spouses to set up or grow their businesses,\u00a0 currently home to 55 companies from a wide range of sectors, offering much lower prices than the private sector.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" src=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/david-sirour.jpg\" alt=\"david sirour\" class=\"wp-image-302539\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/david-sirour.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/david-sirour-449x300.jpg 449w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Thought of in 2014 by JCEM Senator David Sirour, the &#8216;Graine d&#8217;entrepreneur&#8217; event is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year \u00a9 JCI <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Its support goes beyond providing premises. Monaco Boost organises workshops, training courses and professional gatherings.
