On 6th<\/sup> July, the Principality donated personal protective equipment and groceries to the General Directorate of Civil Protection (DGPC) of Mali in the capital Bamako, as part of the fight against the coronavirus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Represented by Mossadeck Bally, Consul General of Monaco in Mali, the Prince’s Government has donated equipment and consumables to the Malian Civil Defence to use in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, which continues to rage in many countries. The ceremony took place in Bamako, in the courtyard of the DGPC, in the presence of the Representative of the Malian Ministry of Security and Civil Protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malian Civil Protection Support Programme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This handover of equipment is part of Monaco’s cooperation programme with Mali<\/a>, a government body which has been active for around ten years. Among its flagship programmes is supporting Civil Protection in Mali, which is carried out with the support of the Monaco Fire Brigade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This equipment will help to strengthen the capacities of the Malian Civil Defence in its intervention and prevention activities against the coronavirus epidemic, in particular the disinfection of public places such as markets, schools and public services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
