Since July 8th, establishments open to Monaco’s public have been given the opportunity to receive the “Monaco Safe” label, a certificate and government guarantee stating that they adhere to the preventative measures implemented for clients’ and visitors’ safety on the Rock.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the World Travel & Tourism Council’s example with its idea of the “safe travel” label, the Principality has also created its own pledge in ensuring visitors’ safety. Launched by the Prince’s Government, the “Monaco Safe” label aims to attract more clients to shops, hotels, restaurants and other establishments welcoming the public which have been hit hard by the health crisis. Its goal is to reassure the public but also professionals in the sector. Nice in the meantime launched its own “Confiance Sanitaire” label (“Health Confidence”).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boosting the economy in complete safety<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“With this label, the Government intends to underline the efforts made by professionals and their employees to ensure the best possible welcome for their clients,” adds the Prince’s Government. At the same time, the label makes it possible to transmit the Principality’s image abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obtaining the label relies on a free, voluntary process via an online platform<\/a>. Applicants must submit an application attesting to their implementation of the health protocol, including, for example, an outline of their social distancing measures and mask-wearing. Depending on the business’ sector, precise health measures could be put in place, such as disinfecting clothing in clothing shops. Once the business has received the label, random checks will be carried out to guarantee they are making sustained efforts to ensure customer safety.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
