After a collision between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2020\/07\/styrian-grand-prix-charles-leclerc-remains-optimistic\/\">Charles Leclerc<\/a> and Sebastian Vettel, for which the Monegasque blames himself, both racers were forced to withdraw.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The season is not looking good for Ferrari. After a bad qualifying session (10th for Sebastian Vettel and 14th for Charles Leclerc), the race on Austria\u2019s Spielberg circuit turned into a nightmare on the first lap at turn 3. After attempting a dangerous manoeuvre, the Monegasque driver collided with his teammate Sebastian Vettel. The result was a rear spoiler ripped off for Vettel and the entire of Leclerc\u2019s floor destroyed, which led to the two Italian single-seaters dropping out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Unfortunately both cars had to retire. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Seb5?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Seb5<\/a>\u2019s car had too much damage and for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Charles16?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Charles16<\/a> it would have been too dangerous driving with the floor in those conditions. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/AustrianGP?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#AustrianGP<\/a>\ud83c\udde6\ud83c\uddf9 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/essereFerrari?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#essereFerrari<\/a>\ud83d\udd34 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/5MvELBzLl8\">pic.twitter.com\/5MvELBzLl8<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Scuderia Ferrari (@ScuderiaFerrari) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ScuderiaFerrari\/status\/1282306049605799937?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 12, 2020<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8220;It&#8217;s my fault,&#8221; said Leclerc<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Clearly, this is my fault. Today I made an error, quite simply,\u201d said Charles Leclerc on Canal+. \u201cOn top of that, it&#8217;s not the time. We have to take the opportunities we have; today it could have been one, even if I&#8217;m not sure we had the performance to go for big points. I tried anyway, I told myself that if it worked out, we&#8217;d gain four or five places, but it clearly didn&#8217;t work out. I was stupid and I&#8217;ll learn.\u201d As soon as he got out of his single-seater, the Monegasque was quick to apologise to his German teammate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I am disappointed in myself. I&#39;m sorry but being sorry is not enough. Seb hasn&#39;t got any faults today. I&#39;ve let the team down after them working a whole week to bring the updates early. Too eager to gain those places in the first lap.
