This year, students from the Lyc\u00e9e Fran\u00e7ois d&#8217;Assise-Nicolas Barr\u00e9 and the Lyc\u00e9e Albert I followed a series of meetings, exchanges, visits and workshops about contemporary art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u20ac10,000 to acquire a work of art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From an online catalogue and with a budget of 10,000 euros, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2019\/05\/apprentis-collectionneurs-an-introduction-to-contemporary-art-for-monegasque-high-school-students\/\">Les Apprentis Collectionneurs<\/a>&#8221; selected ten works that were presented to a jury composed of Marie-Claude Beaud, Director of the NMNM, Fabienne Grasser-Fulch\u00e9ri, Director of the Espace de l&#8217;Art Concret in Mouans-Sartoux and Bj\u00f6rn Dahlstr\u00f6m, who will succeed Marie-Claude Beaud in April 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The work selected this year is entitled MMXII, Camphor Cinnamomum Camphora Cape Town, 2012. It is a small cabinet of camphor wood trinkets created by American artist Mark Dion.
