Here&#8217;s how to enjoy an exceptional getaway by rail between the Mediterranean and the Mercantour.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">The Train des Merveilles is back in service after a\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2025\/12\/train-des-merveilles-between-nice-and-tende-finally-reconnects-with-the-roya-valley\/\"><span style=\"color: blue; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">long period of maintenance work<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: black;\">. The 90-minute journey, which is ranked as one of the most spectacular in Europe, takes in dizzying viaducts, wild gorges and hilltop villages in the Roya valley. It&#8217;s a perfect way to explore the <em>Vall\u00e9e des Merveilles<\/em> or enjoy a dip in the mountain rivers.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-le-musee-du-train-a-breil-sur-roya\"><strong>The <em>Mus\u00e9e du Train<\/em> in Breil-sur-Roya<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>To make it an even bigger adventure, the Train Museum retraces the incredible line&#8217;s epic story using archives, models and period accounts. A tour of the museum helps visitors understand the technical scope and challenges of a project that would connect the Mediterranean to the Alps.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-tarifs-et-reservations\"><strong>Prices and bookings<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Tickets are available at the station and on the TER ZOU! or SNCF Connect websites. <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A &#8220;Pass Journ\u00e9e&#8221; (day pass) is available for \u20ac20, plus \u20ac5 for each additional accompanying adult.
