This exceptional vehicle is celebrating its centenary this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>To mark the centenary of the Bugatti Type 41 (1926\u20132026), Prince Albert II took his seat in one of the most legendary models in motoring history. The Sovereign was accompanied by Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti Automobiles, and Michel Ferry, Vice-President of the Automobile Club de Monaco. At the wheel was the head of the workshop at the Mus\u00e9e National de l\u2019Automobile \u2013 Collection Schlumpf in Mulhouse, custodian of the expertise required to preserve this unique heritage.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"nNCKfdLmTP\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2026\/04\/photos-inside-prince-albert-iis-greece-visit\/\">Photos: Inside Prince Albert II&#8217;s Greece visit<\/a><\/blockquote><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" title=\"&#8220;Photos: Inside Prince Albert II&#8217;s Greece visit&#8221; &#8212; Monaco Tribune\" src=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2026\/04\/photos-inside-prince-albert-iis-greece-visit\/embed\/#?secret=bPEtQRoqcl#?secret=nNCKfdLmTP\" data-secret=\"nNCKfdLmTP\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n\n<p>The car chosen for this track lap is the \u2018Coup\u00e9 Napol\u00e9on\u2019, which was owned personally by Ettore Bugatti for many years before being acquired by the Schlumpf brothers in 1963. Regarded as the centrepiece of the Mulhouse collection, this car, fitted with an engine of nearly 13 litres, is often described as the \u2018Mona Lisa of the automotive world\u2019. The Bugatti Royale will now be on display to the public at the Prince of Monaco\u2019s car collection, at Port Hercule, from 27 April to 3 May.
