Several events have been organised to commemorate the film which marked the start of Grace Kelly\u2019s Monaco adventure. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1955, filmgoers discovered Hitchcock\u2019s most recent motion picture: halfway between a thriller and romantic comedy, this new film starred Cary Grant and a very glamorous Grace Kelly on the striking backdrop of the French Riviera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One cannot talk about To Catch a Thief without mentioning a scene which many have described as premonitory. In the scene, Monaco\u2019s future princess speeds through the winding roads of the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur while Cary Grant sits put in the passenger seat, visibly worried (women are rather dangerous drivers after all). As they stop for a picnic on a roadside overlooking Monaco, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2020\/05\/when-fairytale-becomes-reality-how-prince-rainier-iii-met-grace-kelly\/\">Grace Kelly<\/a> exclaims: \u201cHave you ever seen any place in the world more beautiful?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"To Catch a Thief (1955) | (3\/3) | Driving\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XcDGAyQnHQ8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prince Albert to unveil a Hybrid Alpine Sunbeam <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To celebrate the film\u2019s 65<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary, there will be a special screening of <em>To Catch a Thief<\/em> on September 11<sup>th <\/sup>at Monaco\u2019s Cin\u00e9ma des Beaux Arts. Before the screening, spectators will be able to admire a hybrid version of a Sunbeam Alpine Mark III.&nbsp; The coup\u00e9 on show is an original 1954 model and has a similar design to the one driven by Grace Kelly in the film. Its 21<sup>st<\/sup> century makeover was conducted by the Smart Electric Monaco Association (ASEM). According to Forbes, the vehicle, which has two small electric motors, will be inaugurated by Grace Kelly\u2019s son, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2020\/07\/video-monaco-celebrates-15-years-of-prince-alberts-reign\/\">Prince Albert II<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The screening of the film and the car\u2019s showcase will both take place during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2020\/07\/ever-monaco-conference-2020-what-shall-we-expect-this-september\/\">EVER Monaco<\/a>, an exhibition dedicated to green mobility and renewable energies.
