He was head of Barclays\u2019 Monaco branch before being appointed CEO of Barclays Switzerland. Mathieu will retain his current responsibilities at Barclays Switzerland while working closely with senior Barclays executives across Europe to expand Barclays\u2019 reach in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Barclays&#8217; expansion in the region<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Barclays announcement follows the appointment of Christophe G\u00e9rard as CEO of Barclays Private Bank. \u201cI\u2019m truly looking forward to my new position at Barclays Private Bank in Europe, now that our growth is expanding and that we continue to explore and expand our reach in the region,\u201d said G\u00e9rald Mathieu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Barclays is a leading global corporate and investment bank offering a full range of services, including retail banking and worldwide transactions.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>G\u00e9rald Mathieu has been named Head of Private Bank Europe, Monaco and Switzerland with immediate effect.
