Team Principal Susie Wolff and Founder Gildo Pastor will retain an interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ROKiT Venturi Racing described the purchase as the &#8220;start of a compelling new era for the team&#8221; and &#8220;a significant step forward.&#8221;\u00a0The Mon\u00e9gasque brand also said that the purchase confirmed the appeal of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2019\/03\/formula-e-monegasque-team-venturi-registers-historic-first-victory\/\">Formula E<\/a> as a &#8220;global business platform.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-switch-towards-sustainability\">A switch towards sustainability<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We have a new and forward-thinking investor group who see and feel the potential in the series and team as I do,&#8221; said team founder Gildo Pastor. &#8220;I know that the team is in very safe hands.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&gt;&gt;MORE ON E-RACING:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2020\/10\/extreme-e-racing-launches-a-call-for-scientists\/\">Extreme E racing launches a call for scientists<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scott Swid admitted that they were initially looking at investing in Formula 1, but investment partner Jos\u00e9 M Aznar Botella managed to change his mind. &#8220;Every forward-thinking corporate board in the world is cognisant of the importance of sustainability and is looking for ways to invest in its future,&#8221; said Swid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Swid&#8217;s comments confirm a global trend that has seen sustainability and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/404fcd78-ffd5-4404-a0b9-e89a79e1d52f\">ESG factors climb up the agenda of investors<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&gt;&gt;MORE ON E-RACING:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2020\/10\/extreme-e-former-f1-pilot-nico-rosberg-joins-the-adventure\/\">Extreme E: Former F1 pilot Nico Rosberg joins the adventure<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ROKiT Venturi Racing was the first manufacturer to join Formula E when it was first founded in 2013. It is Monaco&#8217;s only Formula E racing team.
