This declaration is the result of discussions between the Information Technology Center of the Luxembourg State (CTIE), and the Interministerial Delegation for the Digital Transition Monegasque.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, Frederic Genta, interministerial delegate for the digital transition accompanied by a delegation, went to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to meet Xavier Bettel. It was held on Thursday, December 6th.<\/p>\n
After exchanging with the Prime Minister, Frederic Genta visited the Luxembourg Data Center. It is a reference in Europe regarding “green IT”.<\/em><\/p>\n The Principality of Monaco and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg make the digital innovation a priority to support the modernisation of their administration. Not to forget, to encourage innovation on their territory.<\/p>\n The synergies and dynamic interactions resulting from new information and communication technologies are creating new challenges for the economies and societies.<\/p>\n Therefore, this partnership will enable the CTIE and the Interministerial Delegation for the Monegasque Digital Transition to organise a sharing of expertise. Not to forget, experimentation on future topics such as:<\/p>\n The two states are also launching a study aimed at safeguarding sensitive data in a Luxembourg data centre. It guarantees immunity and privileges similar to those of an embassy. Data from Estonia are already hosted in Luxembourg on the same model.<\/p>\n It had become crucial for the Principality to find a solution to preserve data against risks of cyber attack\/natural disaster.<\/p>\n Luxembourg, a true trusted partner in Europe, also hosts sensitive data such as those of NATO or the European Union.<\/p>\n The two governments welcome the establishment of this partnership for cooperation on innovation and digital security. It is entirely in line with European programs. Xavier Bettel underlined that this partnership on digital innovation reinforces the role of Luxembourg as a digital trust centre.
