{"id":92892,"date":"2021-09-10T16:51:34","date_gmt":"2021-09-10T14:51:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/2021\/09\/monte-carlo-ballet-two-new-high-profile-recruits\/"},"modified":"2021-09-17T16:45:48","modified_gmt":"2021-09-17T14:45:48","slug":"monte-carlo-ballet-two-new-high-profile-recruits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2021\/09\/monte-carlo-ballet-two-new-high-profile-recruits\/","title":{"rendered":"Monte-Carlo Ballet: two new high-profile recruits"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>A couple, both exceptional dancers, will be joining the ranks.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Laura Tisserand and J\u00e9r\u00f4me Tisserand signed up with Jean-Christophe Maillot, the artistic director, joining the 50 other dancers at the Monte-Carlo Ballet.<\/p>\n\n<p>The three already knew each other, having played Romeo and Juliet together, with the Tisserand spouses in the starring roles.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-danseurs-principaux-d-un-ballet-aux-etats-unis\">Principal dancers in a US ballet company<\/h2>\n\n<p>J\u00e9r\u00f4me Tisserand is originally from Lyon.  He trained at the Paris Opera Ballet, one of the most prestigious and oldest classical dance companies in the world.  Laura is American.  She trained at the School of American Ballet.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Franco-American couple shone at the Pacific Northwest Ballet, a company based in the United States, which Laura joined in 2003 and J\u00e9r\u00f4me in 2007.
