{"id":93126,"date":"2021-09-13T14:59:19","date_gmt":"2021-09-13T12:59:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/2021\/09\/third-dose-health-pass-compulsory-vaccination-a-round-up-of-the-current-health-situation\/"},"modified":"2021-09-17T16:45:45","modified_gmt":"2021-09-17T14:45:45","slug":"third-dose-health-pass-compulsory-vaccination-a-round-up-of-the-current-health-situation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2021\/09\/third-dose-health-pass-compulsory-vaccination-a-round-up-of-the-current-health-situation\/","title":{"rendered":"Third dose, health pass, compulsory vaccination: a round-up of the current health situation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Most of Monaco&#8217;s residents have gone back to work, the health situation is showing a marked improvement, and the Government is debating a bill.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The most recent official figures, from Sunday September 12, register one new positive case, 10 hospitalisations and 40 patients receiving home care, with five recoveries. &#13;\nHowever the overall health situation is improving significantly, with a drop in the rate of positive cases from 4 to 2.5%.  76.82% of the population aged 12 and over has received a first dose of the vaccine, and 86.24% of those have received the second.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-un-projet-de-loi-en-d-bat-mardi\">Debate on a draft bill on Tuesday<\/h2>\n\n<p>The Monaco Government expressed satisfaction regarding the successful tourist season and the high hotel occupancy rate. Calls for people to be vaccinated are still the State&#8217;s priority in efforts to contain the pandemic. The question of a third dose for vulnerable people is still not resolved and will await the outcome of ongoing studies. <\/p>\n\n<p>Concerning health passes, 64 634 have been issued (49 204 vaccination certificates, 13 678 tests and 1761 certificates of recovery after contracting COVID-19).\u00a0 The Government is now working on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GvtMonaco\/videos\/391785895908134\">the bill that will be debated<\/a> in the National Council on Tuesday 14 September and which has led to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2021\/09\/first-protest-against-the-health-pass-and-compulsory-vaccination-in-the-principality\/\">anti-Health Pass demonstrations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Vaccination is due to become compulsory for employees and professionals working with the frail or vulnerable.
