{"id":96867,"date":"2021-10-19T15:43:22","date_gmt":"2021-10-19T13:43:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/2021\/10\/vroooom-shhh-55-teams-from-the-monte-carlo-e-rally-will-be-arriving-in-monaco-this-weekend\/"},"modified":"2021-10-19T15:46:12","modified_gmt":"2021-10-19T13:46:12","slug":"vroooom-shhh-55-teams-from-the-monte-carlo-e-rally-will-be-arriving-in-monaco-this-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2021\/10\/vroooom-shhh-55-teams-from-the-monte-carlo-e-rally-will-be-arriving-in-monaco-this-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Vroooom&#8221;? &#8220;Shhh&#8221;! 55 teams in the Monte-Carlo e-rally to arrive in Monaco this weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The contestants will cover kilometres of roads between the Drome and Monaco. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>350 race kilometres and 1,000 kilometres of connecting roads.\u00a0 This is what awaits the competitors in the 15 events that comprise the 5<sup>th\u00a0<\/sup>Monte-Carlo<em>\u00a0\u201cZero Emission No Noise\u201d<\/em> e-rally, organised by the Automobile Club de Monaco from 20 to 24 October 2021, with the finishing line in the Principality.<\/p>\n\n<p>Unfortunately cancelled in 2020 due to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monaco-tribune.com\/en\/2021\/05\/video-how-monaco-is-helping-the-victims-of-storm-alex\/\">storm Alex<\/a>, the 100% electric and hydrogen rally is back at full throttle this year. \u00a0The race will start on Wednesday from Ch\u00e2teauneuf, the first local authority property in France to be self-sufficient in green energy, and will finish in Monaco on Saturday, having passed through Valence as well as roads in the Var and the Alpes-Maritimes.<\/p>\n\n<p>The cars will arrive in the Principality on the evening of Friday 22nd for a day&#8217;s racing in the Alpes-Maritimes on Saturday 23rd October. They will start out from Monaco at 9.40 a.m. heading towards the Col de Gratteloup and Vidauban, then the e-rally will pass through Grimaud, Gonfaron, La Motte, Bagnols-en-F\u00f4ret, Pont de Pr\u00e9-Claou and Montauroux. They should arrive back in Monaco for 6:10 p.m. at Quai Rainier III. <\/p>\n\n<p>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Ozon and G\u00e9rard Seiler, winners of the previous edition (2019), will be putting their title up for grabs.  However, they have swapped the Tesla S for a Kia E-Niro.  Eneko Conde and Lorenzo Serrano, who are sitting in first place in the provisional ENEC FIA rankings (October 1), will also be taking part.
