Attended by the biggest names in the supercar and hypercar industry as well as niche manufacturers, Top Marques is the international car show for those who want to buy or sell the latest models.
In 2003 Lawrie Lewis, founded and presided over this international luxury trade fair, under the high patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco. For four days, at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco, in the ports of Monaco and Fontvieille, those interested in the transport innovations of tomorrow will gather together. The sales pitch? “See it, Drive it, Buy it!” This means that nothing is done at random since the event takes place during the Monte-Carlo Masters, just before the Monaco Grand Prix. This is so that buyers can take advantage of the preparations for the Monaco circuit to try out the cars on display at the circuit and in the streets of the Principality. Over time, the show has become synonymous with cutting-edge technology with manufacturers from Australia and America. The latter even go so far as to choose Top Brands as the launch platform for their products and inventions.
Top Marques also hosts a space dedicated to Haute Horlogerie (collector’s watches), Haute Joaillerie (custom-made jewellery) and incredible superboats. Since the first edition, eighteen years ago, more than a hundred new models have been launched, but the year 2019 has set a record. There are eight world launches including the McLaren Grand Tourer and the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera OHMSS which were unveiled by Prince Albert II at the inauguration. Nevertheless, the show was bought in 2018 by Monaco Check-In. Created in 2007 and managed by Salim Zeghdar, it is one of the most important reception and events companies in Monaco.
