easyPet: the story behind Monaco’s most devoted pet chauffeur
It began, as the best ideas often do, with a problem that was personal.
Sir Stelios, the Monaco-based founder of easyGroup, found himself wanting to move his two dogs – Jackie, a Jack Russell, and Louis, a rescue – between Monaco, the South of France and the UK. The options available to him were, by his own reckoning, neither comfortable nor straightforward. So, he did what entrepreneurs do: he built something better.
That was 2018. EasyPet.net has been running ever since, quietly becoming one of the most trusted names among the particular tribe of people who divide their lives between London and the Riviera, and for whom leaving a dog behind is simply not an option.
A 24-hour journey, thoughtfully paced
The logistics are deceptively simple. The customised easyPet vehicle departs Port Hercule at noon, collecting passengers at set stops along the Riviera – near Nice, Mougins, Cagnes – before heading north through France, crossing the Channel via Eurotunnel in the early hours and pulling into Fulham Road in London by nine or nine-thirty in the morning.
Up to five animals travel at a time, each in their own individual compartment, fitted with spill-proof water bowls and soft bedding from home. The vehicle itself is air – conditioned, UV-windowed and equipped with non-slip flooring — the kind of detail that only someone who has actually thought about animal comfort would think to specify.
Regular stops in green, open spaces break the journey. Always supervised, always on the lead. Adrian, the driver, has been making this run for the better part of seven years. The animals, by all accounts, are pleased to see him.

The thing clients value most
Ask easyPet’s clients what keeps them coming back – and many have been returning since the very first year – and the answer is rarely logistics. It’s communication. Throughout the journey, owners receive photographs and videos, a real-time window onto a pet they’ve entrusted to someone else’s care.
For international clients navigating the additional complexity of post-Brexit documentation, there is also the reassurance of meticulous advance preparation; paperwork is checked and double-checked well before departure, and according to the team, no animal has ever been turned away at the border.
Prices start from £699 including VAT per animal for a one-way trip, with some dates priced higher depending on demand.

Beyond the journey
EasyPet’s relationship with Monaco extends beyond transport. The company is a sponsor of It’s a Dog’s Life Monaco, a project supporting the SPA Monaco – the Principality’s animal shelter – through a book of professional photographs documenting the daily lives of dogs in Monaco. It is, in its way, a reflection of the same instinct that started the company: that animals deserve better, and that someone should do something about it.
For pet owners navigating life between two countries, the search for a reliable solution tends to end, more often than not, by word of mouth – one dog owner telling another. That, more than anything, may be the most telling measure of what easyPet has built.
