Thanks to various grants from the Prince’s Government, the City of Monaco, and the Monégasque Olympic Committee, the Federation has been able to increase participation in the sport. As a result, it has around 2,500 members in the Principality, which represents more than 8% of the global population of the country. Monaco’s national tennis team has competed at various championships around the world, including the Youth Olympic Games and the Davis Cup.
Furthermore, the Federation is also under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness the Sovereign Prince. In addition, it has often provided support to the highest international tennis authorities by hosting several tennis related sporting events. On a sporting level, Monegasque tennis has also been represented on all the world’s courts, in the Galea Cup (no longer running), European Team Championships, Games of the Small States of Europe… But also the Davis Cup where the Monaco team has played since 1929.
