Song Qi

Song Qi opened in 2014 and was born out of Riccardo Giraudi’s passion for gastronomy. The aim was, and still is, to offer Monaco a concept never seen before, a modern and refined Chinese restaurant. Interestingly, Song was the first government in the world to issue banknotes, to use gunpowder, to indicate the North with a compass and above all to establish rice cultivation on a global scale. Qi is an essential part of Chinese culture. It is the force that makes up and brings together everything in the universe.

Wishing to reflect the spirit of Chinese gastronomy, a magnificent combination of refined materials was selected by the architects Humbert & Poyet. In terms of decor, the colours are predominantely black and white. There are subtle touches of brass in the lighting and silky green benches and chairs for guests to sit on. In addition, the softness of the velvet really compliments the black marble. As well as this, there is a tiled star on the floor with its points flowing across the room like black and white tides. In short, this intimate restaurant is the perfect combination of modernity, luxury and timelessness.
