Guillaume Plisson bares yachting’s soul at Monaco Yacht Show 2025

The famous French photographer will unveil one hundred large-format images, turning Port Hercule into a maritime art gallery.
The Monaco Yacht Show is breaking new ground by adding photographic art to its traditional programme. From 24 to 27 September, Guillaume Plisson’s ‘Tribute to Yachting’ exhibition will feature one hundred large-format photographs dotted around the Show, creating an original dialogue between business and art.
Monaco Yacht Show 2025: world premieres announced
“With ‘Tribute to Yachting’, we are opening the Monaco Yacht Show up to new forms of artistic expression – inviting visitors to rediscover yachting not just through its innovations or prestige, but through the deep emotions it arouses: wonder and connection,” says Gaëlle Tallarida, General Manager of the Monaco Yacht Show, in a press release. The initiative reflects the organisers’ wish to provide an enhanced experience for both professional and amateur visitors. The images, harmoniously displayed in the exhibition space at Port Hercule, will provide a moment of respite in the midst of the usual hustle and bustle.

Ocean meets design
Guillaume Plisson, who was raised on a sailing boat, discovered photography at an early age and was published in Paris Match from the age of twelve. He has devoted his career to superyachts for the past fifteen years. His unique approach captures both the technical power and the human emotion involved in these luxury vessels. “Everyone helped make these images possible. By giving me access to the yachts, sharing time at sea, and trusting my eye’s intuition, they have helped to build a visual memory of contemporary yachting, year after year,” the photographer explains.
His philosophy is summed up in a few words: “Sail to photograph, photograph to sail.” The approach enables him to capture authentic moments, far removed from the usual promotional shots, revealing the craftsmanship and passion that drive the industry.

Visitors will be able to get a sneak preview of the exhibition at the inauguration, the evening before the Show officially opens on 23 September. The private presentation will give industry professionals a chance to appreciate the artistic approach before the show opens to the general public.
