The legacy of a legendary establishment
The history of the Maison Moghadam brand is intricately connected to that of the Principality. It began with the meeting of Alexander Moghadam and Princess Grace of Monaco, when Her Serene Highness paid a personal visit to the master craftsman and invited him to bring his art to the French Riviera. This led to the inauguration of the Moghadam Gallery in Monte-Carlo, which was attended by the Princess herself.
In 2008, it was Kamyar Moghadam’s turn to take charge of this prestigious family business. Versed since his childhood in the intricacies of the Persian rug, he went on to graduate from Parsons School of Design. He is now bringing his own special energy to the establishment. His bold vision combines creativity, a distinctly modern touch and profound respect for ancestral know-how. Under his stewardship, the brand has been transformed into a mecca of interior design. For him, his rugs are akin to haute-couture, and his establishment is the world’s pioneer in carpets as fashion statements.
Maison Moghadam now covers some 450 m² and is located in the very heart of Monaco. It is a space entirely dedicated to tailor-made interior decorating.
