Monaco Yacht Show donate €57k to Association Monegasque Contre les Myopathies

For 2018, the Monaco Yacht Show organisers donated €57,000 to Association Monegasque Contre les Myopathies (AMM). This was done for supporting research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

The MYS has established itself as an important economic and media force for the Principality of Monaco. It also defends the ethical and human values shared by S.A.S. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

The MYS supports the Monaco-based Charity since its creation in 2001 for the parents of children suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Today, AMM is considered as the most proactive charity that has enabled the scientific and medical research to make significant progress over the last decade. Not to forget the progress in genetic therapy.

The substantial advancement has been made possible with the world-renowned fundraising charity auction, Only Watch. Founded in 2005 by Luc Pettavino, President of AMM, and supported by the MYS Organisers from the very start, the biennial event of one-off luxury timepieces has raised over €35m in 7 editions. The money has been used to finance numerous scientific and medical research programmes.

Held under the High Patronage of S.A.S. Prince Albert II of Monaco, the 8th edition of the Only Watch charity sale will be auctioned by Christie’s in Geneva on November 9, 2019, at 2.30pm. The auction will again feature an outstanding collection of unique watches specially created by the finest watch manufacturers and associated with original experiences.

Before the auction, a two-month promotional world tour will unveil the 2019 Only Watch collection. The Monaco Yacht Show will play host to the touring exhibition as the inaugural stopover from September 25 to 28, 2019.
