Just one month after their second-place finish in the league championship, Monaco’s Roca Team players continue their effort to improve at their training camp in Bormio, Lombardy. In an interview given on the official website, coach Sasa Obradovic explains his great satisfaction with the quality of his players’ determination and preparation for the coming campaign. No doubt: this year’s goal is winning the ‘ship!
In the heart of the Italian basketball land, Kim Tillie and his teammates are following a strict exercise regime. One Morning session, one afternoon session: this is the level of effort required to physically prepare a squad that will embark on a marathon of matches in four weeks. The recovery is near, and it’s not a question for the demanding Sasa Obradovic to omit the slightest detail. With a largely renewed workforce during the offseason, the goal is clear: to win and go as far as possible in each competition. “On the court, we have a new team, the group must gain confidence. Players get to know each other and we have to find the best way to play according to our profiles to find our comfort zone,” explains the coach on the club’s official website.
Landing Sané, a final new recruit
Among the new faces of the Roca Team, we discover Landing Sané. The former big man from Paris-Levallois, who played last season at Mornar Bar (Montenegro), joined the squad two weeks ago. Experienced, he already brings variety and physicality to a workforce that is full of talent. “I am very happy with the effort the players are giving in this training period. Sometimes you need time to convince your team of the need to fight. As of right now, the intensity has been present since the first day. All players are invested with a strong desire to win,” says the Monaco coach. The stint in Italy continues this week before entering the final phase of training. The fans are already eager to find their seats and cheer on the Roca Boys on the Louis II hardwood.
