Celebrating the Riviera in art at Le Méridien Beach Plaza

Le Méridien Beach Plaza is hosting the exhibition ‘Celebrating The Riviera’, an artistic collection dedicated to the Mediterranean. The selected works will feature in its lobby until 9 January 2026.
The collaboration between the Monegasque hotel and the Tanya Baxter Contemporary gallery brings together the work of four contemporary artists. Paul Hughes presents his vibrant triptychs, where Mediterranean colours come to life in his ‘Three Types of Beautiful Rain’, capturing the essence of coastal skies in a 30×24 cm format.
Le Méridien Hub, a laboratory of cultural expression
The exhibition fits within the philosophy of the Méridien Hub, the hotel’s signature concept that reimagines the lobby as a laboratory of expression and dialogue. Designed as a meeting place where cultures, local talent and curious travellers come together, the Hub hosts temporary exhibitions, in situ installations and artistic collaborations throughout the year. In Monaco, the vision takes shape in a collaboration with the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco (NMNM), allowing visitors to explore the museum’s collections simply by showing their key card.
Local artist Carol Bruton explores marine mysteries in her abstractions infused with Mediterranean light. Her circular installations complement the works of Pip Todd-Warmoth, who immortalises Monaco in his oils, capturing the princely architecture from the Promenade.
Jesse Grylls completes the presentation with landscapes in expressive colours, reflecting oceanic spontaneity through mixed media.
Art as a cultural bridge
The Méridien’s Unlock Art programme offers a fresh approach to the Monegasque cultural experience. The initiative enables hotel guests to access museum collections free of charge, creating a bridge between hospitality and artistic heritage.
The exhibition is an invitation to discover the Riviera through a contemporary artistic lens, where each work offers a new perspective on Mediterranean identity.
