The Animal Fund celebrates 10 years of marine protection with Yacht Club gala
The Monaco-based charity is celebrating a decade of commitment to the oceans and cetaceans with a fundraising evening on 4 December.
On 4 December 2025, the Animal Fund (TAF), a non-profit founded in Monaco in 2015 by Berit Legrand, will host its anniversary gala at the Yacht Club de Monaco from 7 pm. The event marks ten years of concrete action for marine conservation, with a special focus on protecting whales and dolphins.
An impressive record of activity
Since its founding, the volunteer-run organisation has held more than 500 educational conferences and organised 280 awareness-raising events. Its work revolves around 60 themed campaigns addressing overfishing, plastic pollution and harmful cosmetic products. Education is a central pillar, with partnerships established with 70 schools and 19 universities to inspire a new generation of ocean defenders.
TAF has also coordinated more than 60 beach and seabed clean-up operations. The charity, registered in five countries including France, the United Kingdom and Denmark, has also contributed to the development of international guidelines for cetacean protection and maintains dialogue with nations engaged in whaling.
All proceeds from the anniversary gala will go directly to conservation programmes, with no administrative costs. As places are limited, organisers recommend booking in advance via the dedicated website: gala.theanimalfund.net
