A special treat at the Monaco Oceanographic Museum this weekend

For the first time ever, the Monaco Oceanographic Museum is organizing a “Museum festival” day full of special happenings on April 27th. Numerous free activities, workshops, and other conferences will punctuate the event.

Mark your calendars for 10 am this Saturday to be ready for the opening of the “la fête au Musée.” Until 7 pm, the Oceanographic Museum celebrates the opening of the new “Turtle Odyssey” space by offering multiple special activities. They are all a nod to the round-the-clock efforts made by this important Monegasque cultural center to promote scientific knowledge.

From conferences to concerts

On the 1st floor, the “head-to-head with experts” conferences will punctuate the day. Many foundation presidents working in spheres related to the environment will present their biggest challenges, such as the protection of the oceans and the fight against pollution. There will also be an opportunity to meet Pierre Frolla, who will host a conference on snorkeling, and to learn more about Rana the turtle (tracked by the Oceanographic Institute since its being found in Monegasque waters), with the head of the museum’s aquarium service, Olivier Brunel.

In parallel, the films Immerseave and Voyage en prondeur will be presented at the -1 level, while the fish feeding at level -2 will be the occasion to enjoy several happenings. Shows are programmed in the Hirondelle room, in the conference hall, and in the Whale Room, where three sounds and lights will follow each other between 12:30 and 1:30 pm. At 2 pm, the terrace of the building will welcome Madison, Carla, and Talisa from The Voice Kids for a concert event. Lots to choose from!
