Where to ice skate near Monaco during the holidays

The Principality’s winter facility was cancelled in 2022 because it used too much energy. Monaco Tribune decided to check out the closest ice rinks to Monaco.

Didier Guillaume, Monaco’s Minister of State, announced in December to the elected members of the National Council that the Government wished to bring an ice rink back to the Principality. Studies are underway into the environmental impact of such a facility and the energy required, however there is no set date for its return.

Beausoleil ice rink

Beausoleil, which borders the Principality, had an ice rink again this year on the Place de la Libération. It will be open until 5 January, so ‘get your skates on’ to enjoy it while you can!
